Teh De Zen Has Fire On Board In Sri Lanka!

Teh De Zen, Malaysia10 December 2010, Kuala Lumpur – At the Sixth Asian Schools Chess Championship 2010 in Sri Lanka, young Malaysian lass, Ms Teh De Zen (pix left, picture courtesy of Gilachess/Gilocatur’s blog) is doing Malaysia proud by topping her age-group U-9 Girls category after four rounds of play. She scored 4/4 pts!!! Full marks! She will be meeting the top seed, Harshini A of India (1519) in her fifth round later today, 10 December 2010. Both players have not lost a game yet.


Her brother, Teh De Juan is participating in the Under-9 Open category of the same chess event in Sri Lanka. De Juan has scored 3.5/5 pts so far. De Juan will meet Weeringasinghe of Sri Lanka in the sixth round of play later today.
