Details: Atlantic City, NJ-- December 16-19, 2010 Marks the dates for the historic first Atlantic City International chess tournament. This event is not your usual weekend swiss. Reigning US Champion GM Gata Kamsky will be giving a simultaneous exhibition Thursday December 16 and he will play in the main event.
If that is not exciting enough, ACI is hosting a Poker side event for those playing in the tournament and their guests. Yes, you get to play two games you love in one place.
Further more we are please to boast $99 room rates. This rate is nearly impossible to find in the area and is a special bonus to players from the gorgeous Sheraton Atlantic City Hotel.
The tournament itself has a $50,000 projected prize fund. You can pick between 2 day and 3 day schedules. All boards and sets will be provided. Just bring yourself and a friend, don't forget your clock, and be ready to have a good time.
