Juniors take on the Seniors for rights to Olympiad

I like this idea put forward by a parent of a National Junior during the train ride to Singapore. I would love to be involved. Put a team of the top Juniors together. And give them centralised "training" for maybe 3 or more days. The strength of our Juniors is that they share with one another. Then lets have the fight in one big tournament. Let the Seniors prove they are still relevant and deserve the Olympiad trip.

This is the fairest solution. I think this would be one tournament that Malaysia would like to see. Maybe the Juniors are not up to the Seniors in terms of technical understanding yet but I think if I can get them to work together for 3 days in a close and positive environment they can give the seniors a surprise. These boys can still fight. The seniors are no longer fighting. That will make all the difference in my opinion.

Note: There is no need for a trainer. The Juniors shared/combined knowledge will be enough. All we need to do is to facilitate this. Working for and fighting this tournament may wake everyone up.

We need to see success and new milestones to change our negative culture. Let Mal/Singapore be the first of many more milestones in the new annal of Malaysian chess.

Dalam hidup, terkadang kita lebih banyak mendapatkan

Apa yang tidak kita

inginkan

Dan ketika kita mendapatkan apa yang kita inginkan,

Akhirnya kita tahu bahawa yang kita inginkan

Terkadang tidak dapat membuat

Hidup kita menjadi lebih bahagia.
