Kicking off their pre-Olympic season, the Malaysian Harimaus settled into a comfortable victory against Pakistan, winning 2-0 at the Shah Alam Stadium on Wednesday.
The Harimaus took charge of the match right from the get go, going on the attack and getting their first goal just three minutes into the game.
Wan Zaharulnizam Zakaria was quick to pick up on a Pakistani defensive mistake and bagged the first goal after a failed clearance.
Pakistani striker Ansar Abbas was later shown a Red card for a foul on Malaysian goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi.
The Malaysian Harimaus capitalized on the advantage through a Mohd Irfan Fazail goal at the end of the first half to put them up 2-0.
Pakistan put together a valiant effort to get back into the game in the second half, but the Malaysian Harimaus were up to the challenge in defence as well.
Malaysia were again close to another goal in the 57th minute when Ahmad Fakri made a blinding run down the middle and cracked a shot against the Pakistani stopper who was able to keep it out of the net with a fingertip save.

Dalam hidup, terkadang kita lebih banyak mendapatkan

Apa yang tidak kita

inginkan

Dan ketika kita mendapatkan apa yang kita inginkan,

Akhirnya kita tahu bahawa yang kita inginkan

Terkadang tidak dapat membuat

Hidup kita menjadi lebih bahagia.
