Big upset at 1st Cento International
1st Cento International Chess Open5-13th February 2011 at the Grand Hotel Bologna in Pieve di Cento
The 1st Cento International Chess Open started today at the comfortable Congress Hall in the Grand Hotel Bologna in Cento. 102 players from 20 countries, among them 16 Grandmasters, are competing in the 9-round swiss event with the fantastic prize fund of 26.000 EUR. Alexey Dreev (RUS 2694) and Ivan Sokolov (NED 2657) are top seeded.
Most of the elo favourites converted the rating differences of a couple of hundred points into first round victories. However, GM Eduardas Rozentalis of Lithuania, at 2588 elo seeded 4th in the tournament, was stunned by the ultra-talented WIM Marina Brunello (2155).
The 5-round weekend rated tournament is overlapping with the main event. 36 players participate.

Dalam hidup, terkadang kita lebih banyak mendapatkan
Apa yang tidak kita
inginkan
Dan ketika kita mendapatkan apa yang kita inginkan,
Akhirnya kita tahu bahawa yang kita inginkan
Terkadang tidak dapat membuat
Hidup kita menjadi lebih bahagia.
